US Dollar is the Kingpin currency in the world. No doubt other countries vie to turn as an economic power and one that comes to mind is china. China has no doubt been hitting the heels of the US in the run for economic power for the last few decades or so however, it has outcast the US in terms of the volume of the economy and international trade in the recent past. Despite all these struggles, US Dollar is yet a currency in which most of the trade is denominated and conducted. US dollars can store value and enjoy the confidence of the Sovereign States and their masses. International Banking refers to the fact of how much the US Dollar is sought after. Maintaining US Dollars deposit accounts in banks all over the world and transacting international trade and finance in US Dollars has flourished International Banking. An International Financial Center has an International demand for the National Currency, as long as it is convertible and balanced by an economy that can produce and supply goods of equivalent value.

Thanks to the Technology and telecommunication system and mobility avenues that have actually contributed to the globalization of the world. Trading in international debt securities and exchanges has never been so accurate, easy, and hectic. These activities of international trading have been further facilitated by International Financial Centers like UK International Financial Center, the Euro currency market, and Bloomberg a few to mention.

International Banking has been supported by converting their holding in US Dollars into other European currencies or transferring them from US banks to European Banks. This act was due to the fears of a worsening Cold War.  International Banking flourished due to the ease of transfer of capital chasing the high-interest rates. International investors fairly participated in the introduction of Islamic Finance and the floating of international SUKUK.
